It’s official. We’re a toddler!
2014 was a big year for us. We launched a partner programme, built new products, refined existing ones, and grew our customer base. Like any small business, we’ve had periods of absolute highs and times where it’s just been hard slog. Hard work pays off though, and now we couldn’t be prouder of what our small team has managed to accomplish. We’ve brought some of these achievements (plus some fun Suite facts!) together in the infographic below.
In our two year birthday post we mentioned that the Suite team had been joined by Kim and Dana, our resident creatives. Dana continues to do a stellar job as the Suite designer, and provides the impressive improvements to the Suite user experience and visuals that you might have noticed around the place. Meanwhile a year on, Kim has gone from design intern to unofficial COE (Chief of Everything) – see a tweet, receive a newsletter, read a blog post, or become a Suite partner – Kim has her finger in it all!
The Suite product family has also undergone some changes. We’ve rebranded SuiteFiles somewhat to include web and Outlook. In fact the big Suite announcement of the last year was the introduction of our SuiteFiles Outlook add-in. This handy add-in allows users to access and manage their files and emails within the Outlook interface. It’s been a huge improvement on what customers previously had to work with and we continue to get great feedback about it.
We’ve also been working hard on our partner programme, something we see as a key to our growth and success as a business. We now have partners reselling the goodness of SuiteFiles in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. We’re really seeing them start to embrace what SuiteFiles is all about and to take that to their customer base. This is something that’s really exciting for us for the next year. So a big thanks to great Suite partners like IT Engine (Suite Global Partner of the Year 2014), pcMedia, My IT Manager, Computercare and Essential Technologies Group.
Another highlight of the year was once again making it as a finalist in the Microsoft Partner of the Year awards for 2015. We actually submitted two entries to the Cloud SMB partner category and were blown away to have both of them make it to the final stages. Unfortunately that’s where our winning streak ran out and we didn’t end up pulling the big win at the awards. Next year!
While awards are nice, an amazing support team are even better. Suite are lucky enough to boast a particularly fine line-up behind the scenes. Our Board continues to be very excited about what we’re doing and the addition of tech entrepreneur Brett Campbell has helped to broaden our horizons. Thanks guys!
And of course a huge thanks to all of our customers, the people who really believe in what we’re doing. In year three we took on twice as many new customers as we did in year two – proof that what we’re doing is getting noticed and adding value to SMBs around the world.
We celebrated our birthday in typical Suite style – with food and good times. We can’t wait to see what this next year holds for us.
